In 1987, Peng Nan graduated from Wuhan University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry, and worked, in 1987-2000, as an experimental researcher, research assistant and associate researcher in Wuhan Institute of Botany, CAS, China. In 2003, she did postdoctoral research in biology, Fudan University, and since 2005 becomes an associate professor in the School of life Sciences. Dr. Nan is funded by projects from the Ministry of Science and Technology, NSFC and the Shanghai Municipal Science Committee, and participated in many projects from the NSFC Major Program and Key Program, National Major Special Projects on New Cultivation for Transgenic Organisms. She has published over 80 papers, including more than 20 SCI papers as first author or corresponding author.
Research Interests
Dr. Nan focuses her research on biological resources investigation, screening of biogical activities of natural products and molecular regulatory mechanisms of the metabolic pathways of genuine effective components of herbs.
