Research Interests

The long-term research focuses on plant genetics and plant gene engineering. The main interests are the molecular biology fundamental to rice heterosis and yield gene engineering, specifically including construction of near-isogenic lines by rice heterosis, isolation and cloning of yield associated genes, studies on gene regulation of cell size, regulatory mechanism of programmed death in plants, molecular function of long non-coding RNAs in rice.
