  • 1999-2000: Hybrid Rice Breeding in Rice Research Institute of Jiangxi Academy of Agricultural Sciences,
  • 2000-2003: Jiangxi Agricultural University, master’s degree in Agronomy,
  • 2003-2006: China Agricultural University, Ph.D. in Agronomy,
  • 2006-2008: Post-doctoral fellow at Fudan University,
  • Since 2009, he teaches in Fudan University as lecturer, associate professor and professor.

 

Research Interests

Dr. Xiaojin Luo focuses on rice functional genomics and genetic improvement, specifically including construction of near-isogenic lines, isolation and cloning of yield associated genes from wild rice. He also studies on genetic regulation network of yield traits, and gene editing breeding using CRISPR/Cas9 technology.
