From 1996 to 2000, Pingli Lu studied horticultural science at Henan Agricultural University of China, obtaining his B.A. in Agriculture. In 2001, he went to China Agricultural University in Beijing for his Ph.D. study. He obtained his Ph.D in Plant Science from CAU in 2006. From 2007 to 2012, he was a post-doctoral fellow at the Pennsylvania State University with Professor Hong Ma, studying plant meiotic recombination and anther development. In 2013, he became an associate professor at Fudan University, studying plant reproductive biology and crop genetics.
Research Interests
Dr. Pingli Lu is highly interested in plant reproductive development, such as molecular mechanisms controlling plant male fertility and meiotic recombination. The Lab also conducts crop genetics to make effort to improve rice performance.
