Zheng, Binglian, Professor

1994-2001, Dr. Zheng studied at Huazhong Normal University in Wuhan, and got her Bachelor’s nad Master’s degrees in Biology. She obtained her Ph.D. in Genetics at the Institute of Genetics & Developmental Biology, Chinese Academy of Sciences in March, 2006. 2006-2012, she did her post-doctoral research at University of California-Riverside and Berkeley. Since March, 2012, she is a professor in Fudan University, and has been working on plant epigenetics and developmental biology.
Research Interests
Small RNAs ubiquitously exist in plants, which regulate gene expression through sequence-specific manner at the transcriptional and posttranscriptional levels. Using integrated geneic, biochemical, cytological, and genomics approaches, the Zheng lab is interested in how small RNAs are produced and by which small RNAs are involved in plant reproductive development.
