Ren, Guodong, Professor

From 2000 to 2009, Guodong Ren studied biology at Fudan University, where he obtained his bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences in 2004, and Ph.D. degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology in 2009. He conducted post-doctoral research at University of Nebraska-Lincoln from 2009 to 2013. He joined Fudan University as an associate professor in Nov. 2013, and promoted to professor in Dec.2014. He works on the genomics, metabolism, and functions of various non-coding RNAs (including microRNAs, siRNAs and lincRNAs) in plants.
Research Interests
1. Small non-coding RNA biogenesis, action and homeostasis.
2. Systemic characterization of long-non-coding RNAs and their functions in plant development and abiotic stress responses.
